Magical Lantern Festival Yorkshire is coming to Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Dragons the length of three buses and 40,000 light bulbs used to create more than 30 giant, handmade lantern displays which will illuminate some ten acres of the park.
You can discover stunning lanterns in all shapes, colours and sizes. These include Santa Claus and his reindeers setting out with their all-important delivery of toys, through to stunning illuminated flowers and animals, some of which have been brought to life with movement. There are even mythical creatures waiting to be discovered such as a huge Chinese dragon guarding all before it.
The Magical Lantern Festival itself is an authentic Chinese celebration, allowing visitors to marvel at some of the most artistic and beautifully constructed installations outside of China, the event combines traditional lanterns with festive magic.
In addition to the Chinese lanterns, there will also be a separate entertainment area and food village, which is free to enter, with a paid-for outdoor ice rink, Santa’s Grotto, mini fun fair and virtual reality experience.
The attraction will open on November 25, 2016 to January 2, 2017.
