After a successful run in Miami, the Lantern Light Festival transforms the Agricenter International into a dazzling spectacle of lights and artistry from March 31 to May 7, 2017. A celebration of Chinese culture, the festival is a five-week production featuring massive lanterns, inspiring performances and a variety of food. Attendees will experience a kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, and themes.
Hundreds of lanterns will illuminate the night, including a four-hundred-foot Dragon. A team of eighty Chinese artisans need three months to complete our hand-crafted lanterns, which are made from sculpted steel frames and hundreds of pieces of silky cloth. Other lantern themes include global architecture, creatures of the land and sea, and mythical stories.”
In addition to seeing the gigantic lanterns, the festival promises fun for the whole family, with Chinese acrobats, a Wishing Tree, and live music. Activities for children include obstacle course inflatables, virtual reality rides, face-painting, a Dragon ride and mining for emeralds.
