Cary, NC—In what has become a holiday tradition, Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed into a magnificent setting when the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival returns this holiday season for a fourth year. Tickets are now on sale for the seven-week event, which runs from November 23, 2018 – January 13, 2019.
Cary's Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed into a magnificent setting when the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival returns this holiday season! The Festival will include more than 20 displays, each one comprised of hundreds of parts and thousands of LED lights. In what proved to be a fan favorite last year, the spectacular Chinese Dragon on Symphony Lake will return to mesmerize visitors. Each larger than life lantern will once again wow visitors with their amazing craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty. A new feature this year will be the addition of cultural performances and artisan crafts. Performances will include traditional Chinese dance, foot juggling and vase juggling, and Wushu/Kung Fu.
Chinese artisans are already hard at work crafting more than 20 all new displays, each one comprised of hundreds of parts, and thousands of LED lights. The spectacular Chinese Dragon will reign supreme on Symphony Lake to mesmerize visitors big and small. These larger than life lanterns promise to wow visitors with their amazing craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty. Cultural arts performances will again be featured each night on the main stage.

Every year seems to surpass the previous one as far as size and detail of the displays.
