Longleat, the British rural outback and the residence of the Marquis of Bath is located in Wiltshire (near Bristol). In November it is transformed into a wonderland, lit by over 20,000 lanterns.
The compositions are created by a team of artists from the Chinese province of Sichuan, and consist of a dragon, floating dragon boats, a pagoda, and a palace. Flammable figures made of cloth are subjected to flame retardant treatments. Chinese lanterns illuminate the entrance to Longleat. This festival helps to introduce Chinese traditional culture more closely. Traditionally, it lasts from early November until early January.
